After years of working with owners like you, we understand the restoration industry AND your business. As a result, we look past your numbers, knowing it’s far more than equipment that makes your business valuable.
Our experience selling restoration businesses enables us to communicate the value in your business in a way that is relevant, understandable and compelling to your potential buyers. Plus, we can talk to banks (they tend NOT to understand you are in the construction business! For example how to calculate WIP! Or how to explain preferred vendor status to buyers!), which helps the sale get done.
Selling a business for what it’s worth is not easy. Not only is the process potentially disruptive, it’s loaded with unforeseen pitfalls and shouldn’t even be attempted until a fair amount of work is done to prepare your restoration business for sale. It should be no surprise, then, surveys reveal the majority of businesses for sale never reach the stage of a successful transfer:
We avoid these dismal numbers by working with you to prepare your business for sale. Many clients see us as consultants first, business brokers second. Actually, that’s a good description of what we do.
Traditional business brokers have earned a bad reputation; one of acting more like they’re selling real estate than the product of your blood, sweat and tears. Sadly, it is a well-deserved reputation.
They focus on listing your business in the hopes the listing attracts buyers. When a buyer happens along, you get the feeling they’re after a fast sale. Because they are. That’s why, on average, traditional brokers sell only 30% of their listings each year.
Why? Because we specialize in the restoration industry, because we help you get your business ready for sale and because we focus on closing the sale with a highly unique selling strategy (see our Proven Methodology page).
Let us help you navigate the path to a successful transfer of your business. For more information about our complete portfolio of services, call 407-781-4696 or email email@example.com.
